  1. Salmon!

Salmon (http://stock.tobinphoto.com/king-salmon-pictures-874.htm) is a very common, easy to find fish that is easy to use many kinds of recopies. Being that its fish, it’s also very healthy. The benefits range from a trace mineral called selenium. It is good for colon cancer, prostate cancer, and breast cancer prevention. Salmon is high in omega 3 which helps prevent obesity and increases the bodies response towards insulin. Omega 3 also helps in the decrease of cardiovascular diseases. Salmon is acquired mainly two was, Farmed or fished. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaRRMbPwdwc . Depending on who you talk to wild caught is better, because of the varied diet the fish had in the wild. The wild salmon roam from rivers in North America into the Pacific Ocean. Depending on where they come from may influence where they are caught. For example, a salmon that comes from Washington or Oregon tend to migrate to the Gulf of Alaska. Farm raised salmon are fed a diet that isn’t exactly what they eat in the wild but most people can’t taste the difference.
I think the best ways to cook salmon would be BBQ or grill.
    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup hot water
    • 1/2 cup Shiraz wine
    • 1/2 cup soy sauce
    • 1/3 cup olive oil
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/3 teaspoon lemon pepper
    • 2 pounds salmon fillets
    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
    • 2 tablespoons cold water
Grilling for 8 minutes on each side until flakey and the ingredients mixed over the salmon and grill. Pretty easy. The list goes on and on ways to incorporate salmon in dishes to add a twist. Chunks of salmon in a salad, a salmon fillet to make a sandwich, or use it for fine dinning along with vegetables to make a very good meal. Depending on where you shop, a current price range would be between 4 to 6 dollars for a fillet. When the fish is cooked it is not very dense, and does not have a classic fish taste that scares some people off. Whether it’s in tacos mixed with cabbage and avocados, or and entre with mashed potatoes and broccoli it’s going to be hard to find a more diverse and tasty meal.
